USA poolt Strykerile paigaldatud droonivastane süsteem laseb õhus kuni 5km kaugusel/kõrgusel olevad lennuvahendid ära laseriga.

This is Raytheon's High Energy Laser (HEL) fitted to the Stryker DE M-SHORAD. Its 50 kW laser can shoot down Class I, II, and III drones at ranges > 5 km. This means small, medium and large UAS flying at altitudes of up to 30,000 ft. It can perform a C-RAM role against rockets, artillery and mortars. The on-board battery has a 120 seconds of energy and is fully re-chargeable. The cost per engagement is in effect zero and there is no ammunition that needs to be stored or brought forward. The vehicle has its own sensors and FCS, but can also be networked with other air defence assets for a fully layered system. HELs are still large and bulky, like the first mobile phones were, but technology is advancing so rapidly that they can be expected to become an integral part of vehicle active protection systems. Lasers were always seen as the stuff of science fiction and while we don't yet have a "Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range," we should expect to see increasingly powerful vehicle-mounted weapons that neutralise the drone threat with ease and at low cost.

Iisrael valmistub laserrelva kasutama raketikaitseks

The Israeli Defense Force is preparing to Deploy the “Iron Beam” Laser Point-Defense System to Active Combat Service for the 1st Time in order to Reinforce the Air Defense Array across the Country; the System was not originally supposed to enter Service for several more Years.
The “Iron Beam” System will act as the Short-Range Component of the Israeli Integrated-Missile Defense System being able to Shoot Down incoming Rockets, Drones, Artillery, and Mortar Shells.

Mõned ajakirjanikud kontrollisid ka otse võimudelt ja antud laser ei ole veel kasutusse läinud, sest pole selleks päris valmis.

Pealegi peaks iron-beam laser toimetama nähtamatus valgusspektri osas, seega kiirt ei tohiks olla näha

Türgi sandarmeeria täiendas oma arsenali JARMOLiga (Gandarmerie Vehicle Mounted Laser Weapon System).

Kirpi sõidukisse integreeritud 5kw ARMOLi laserrelvade süsteem ühendati süsteemiga ASELSAN İHTAR KARTAL-2.

İHTAR süsteem koosneb radaritest ja kaameratest ohtude tuvastamiseks, jälgimiseks ja tuvastamiseks, elektroonilistest segamis- ja pettussüsteemidest ohtude ennetamiseks ning juhtimis- ja juhtimissüsteemidest, mis tagavad kõigi nende süsteemide integreeritud toimimise.

Nii muudeti süsteem võimeliseks nii mitme sensoriga droone tuvastama kui ka sihtmärke hävitama nii elektroonilise sõjapidamise kui laserrelvadega.

JARMOL suutis edukalt neutraliseerida droonid ja fikseeritud tiivaga mehitamata õhusõidukid, mis on muutunud oluliseks ohuks sõjaväeüksustele, eriti operatsioonipiirkondades, tulistades need katsete käigus lasertulega alla.
