Watch wild footage captured after a NASA WB-57 research aircraft was forced to make a belly landing at Ellington Airport in Houston, Texas, after its landing gear reportedly failed to deploy when it landed flames and sparks can be seen coming from the jet. Emergency responders quickly rushed to the scene as the pilot safely exited the cockpit. NASA later confirmed that a mechanical issue led to a gear-up landing involving one of its WB-57 aircraft. All crew members are safe, and no injuries were reported. Officials say a full investigation into the cause of the incident is underway, with updates to be released as more information becomes available.

Lennuki testimisega pole seal muidugi miskit pistmist. Need paar järgi jäänud vana brittide Canberra derivaati on kasutusel erinevat sensorite kandeplatvormidena. Tuleb tõenäoliseks pidada, et need vahel ka üht-teist kusagil luuravad :). Tehniliselt on need B-52 kaasaegsed. Konkreetne lennuk on enese pikas ajaloos 39 aastat lausa kõrbes hoiul seisnud. Mõni ime, et midagi vahel ära ikaldab.

Lõuna-Koreas kukkus alla ründekopter
A South Korean Army AH-1S Cobra attack helicopter crashed during a routine training flight in Gapyeong County on Monday morning, killing both pilots. The cause is under investigation, and all remaining AH-1S helicopters have been grounded.

Also today, a Robinson R44 helicopter, which went missing two days ago, was found in the Amur region of Russia. The investigator and the police chief were on board. All three persons on board died.

Iraani kopter kukkus alla Isfahanis rahvarohkele turule
On Thursday, an Iranian jet fell from the sky. This morning, an Iranian helicopter fell straight into a fruit market in Isfahan.

And this is before anything even started.

This morning , an Iranian Army helicopter crashed straight into a fruit and vegetable market in Dorcheh area, Isfahan province.
Pilot and co-pilot both killed, plus two merchants in the market died. Total four dead. It was on training flight, cause looks like technical fault again.
These old planes and choppers in Iran often have accidents because of sanctions, no new parts, everything very old.

An F-16 fighter jet operated by the Turkish Air Force crashed during a training flight near Balıkesir in western Turkey tonight.

The pilot reportedly perished.

The plane belonged to the 9th Main Jet Base Command.
