Latvian media has just revealed that a man was detained on 27 August by the State Security Service on suspicion of spying for Russian intelligence. Investigators say he passed details about Latvian military sites including layouts, security measures, new construction, troop training, and the presence of NATO soldiers to Moscow. He faces charges under Article 85(1) of Latvia’s Criminal Law and has been remanded in custody.
