Üks paljudest viimaste aastate samalaadsetest uudistest. Praeguseks peaks riigi üksuste arv olema kolmandiku võrra suurem kui 2014?
Tehnika pole probleem, sest ladudest saab veel miskit võtta ja üles vuntsida, kuid rahvaarvu (ja just teenistuseks kõlbulike arvu!) kasvu pole täheldanud. Pluss meeste voolamine "koka klubiga" Süüriasse suppi keetma.

Ega siin loogiliselt olegi rohkem kui kaks võimalust - kas üksused on paberil (mobiliseeritavad) või on tehtud väiksemaks (näiteks kaks pataljoni jagatud kolmeks).

PS. Neid pidevalt juurde tulevate üksuste probleeme on siin vist igal aastal lahatud?

During a Defense Ministry Board Session, Sergei Shoigu gave a number of useful facts. The share of modern equipment has reached:
-Western Military District (ZVO): 54%
-Southern Military District (YuVO): 60%
-Eastern Military District (VVO): 51%
The # of pieces of new and modernized armaments and special hardware that will be delivered in 2019:
-Western Military District (ZVO): "up to" 1,272
-Southern Military District (YuVO): "more than" 1,200
-Eastern Military District (VVO): "up to" 1,744
# of "organizational measures" (i.e. new or modified units) to be implemented in 2019:

Более 3,5 тыс. военнослужащих зенитных подразделений Южного военного округа (ЮВО) приступили к проведению масштабного полевого выхода подразделений войск противовоздушной обороны (ПВО). Мероприятия боевой подготовки пройдут на 30 полигонах, расположенных на территориях Ростовской, Волгоградской и Астраханской областей, Ставропольского и Краснодарского краёв, Крыму, республик Северного Кавказа: Ингушетии, Дагестане, Чечне, Северной Осетии и Адыгеи.

Russian General Staff conference on military strategy told about the development of US strategy of using colour revolutions as weapons: Russia is ready to resist this, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov said.
Gerasimov said the Pentagon began to develop a new "Trojan Horse" warfare strategy, the essence being to actively use protest potential of "fifth column" to destabilize the situation while simultaneously striking with high-precision weapons (HPW) the most important targets.

"I would like to note that the Russian Federation is ready to prevent any of these strategies. In recent years, military scientists, together with the General Staff, have developed conceptual approaches to neutralize the aggressive actions of potential opponents"

According to Gerasimov, the basis of Russia's response is an "active defense strategy" which, taking into account the defensive nature of the Russian military doctrine, provides for a set of measures to anticipate neutralizing threats to the security of the state.

"We must be ahead of the enemy in the development of military strategy, go one step ahead," the chief of the General Staff added. "The U.S. and its allies have determined the aggressive vector of their foreign policy. They are working on offensive military actions, ..."

"... such as "global strike", "multi-sphere battle" using the technology of "colour revolutions" and "soft power". Their goal is to eliminate the statehood of undesirable states, undermining sovereignty, changing the legally elected government bodies".

Сегодня отряд кораблей и судов обеспечения Северного флота в составе фрегата «Адмирал Флота Советского Союза Горшков», многофункционального судна материально-технического обеспечения «Эльбрус», спасательного буксира «Николай Чикер» и среднего морского танкера «Кама» приступил к проходу пролива Ла-Манш. Перед выходом из Северного моря на фрегате и судах была проведена тренировка по связи и определён порядок следования в походном ордере через узкости.

Ранее отряд действовал в заливе Мори Ферт, отрабатывая задачи по противодиверсионной обороне при стоянке на незащищённом рейде и противовоздушной обороне с выполнением слежения за воздушными целями радиотехническими средствами.

Отряд вышел в дальний поход из главной базы Северного флота – Североморска 26 февраля. В настоящее время североморцы прошли более 1600 морских миль и провели несколько корабельных боевых учений, в том числе по поиску подводных лодок.

Для экипажа фрегата «Адмирал Флота Советского Союза Горшков» этот поход первый в его истории.

Vene armee arengutest Shoigu järjekordse esinemise järgi Vene riigiduuma kaitsekomitee ees.

Sergei Shoigu spoke to the Duma's Defense Committee today. He was apparently scheduled to speak for an hour, but his talk lasted for more than two hours. He said Russia has conducted 166 sea and air-launched cruise missile strikes in Syria.

He said that in 2019 the MoD's number of high-precision cruise missiles has increased 30 times and the number of ground, sea, and air platforms capable of launching long range PGMs has increased 12 times. Presumably, this period was from 2012-2019.

Shoigu touted the Su-24M's upgraded SVP-24 targeting system that allows dumb bombs to be dropped within 10 meters of it target. Su-24M and Su-25SM3's with their SVP-24-25 targeting systems played a much greater role in Russia's air campaign in Syria than cruise missiles.

He also lauded the role of the Strelets recon and C3 system (KRUS), which allows Russian forces to strike targets within "8-12 minutes" of their detection. Thanks to its Syrian experience, Russian Helicopters developed a missile with a range of 15km (presumably the Vikhr-1).

In total, Russia tested 316 modern weapon samples in Syria. Since 2012, Russia has built 475 military infrastructure facilities for a total of 710k square meters in the arctic on Cape Schmidt and the islands of Kotelny, Wrangel, and Alexandra Land.

He said the # of servicemen serving under contract has reached 394k. Although this is a substantial increase from 2012, the # has plateaued since 2016 (when it was 384k). Previously, it was planned to reach 499k by 2020, which obviously won't happen.

-3 army aviation brigades and 6 helicopter regiments with Ka-52 and Mi-28
-20 S-400 regiments
-23 Pantsir-S Bn
-17 Bastion/Bal Bn.
He said that, since 2012, 38 UAV units have been formed, equipped with over 2k UAVs. The MoD recently released a graphic saying that it had formed 40 UAV units (possibly 41 now) and received 2,136 UAVs. He said the MoD would receive MALE UAVs this year.

He also touted the benefits of the reestablished Voenpred system (Военное представительство) of military representatives at OPK enterprises to ensure the quality of weapons built under the GOZ. He said Voenpreds have reduced the # of faulty systems by 2.7 times.

I skipped right over this, but he also announced that Russia has 136 constant readiness battalion tactical groups manned by contract servicemen. In September, Gerasimov said the Russian military had 126 BTGs with contract servicemen.

Это который бронебойный. Одновременно в той же теме был создан 7Н37 под легендарный патрон с закраиной. Под 7.62х39 давно уже никто ничего не создает такого.
