Nüüd jääb siis oodata CV90 vs T-90 rammukatsumist Pea aasta tagasi Rootsist 51 CV9040C mudelit Ukrainasse olevat läinud. Pole väga näha olnud ka neid katki palju tehtud olevat. Neil ju vähe tummisem, 40mm pearelv peal.

Kaliiber võib ju suurem olla, aga Bushmaster peaks tavalisest Boforsi kahurist natuke ohtlikum olema (laskekiirus, algkiirus jms). Eks sõltub muidugi ka moonast.

Laskekiirus on suurem, aga suudmekiirus mitte eriti (Bofors 1000m/s, Bushmaster 1100m/s). Arvestades kaliibri olulist erinevust, on suudmeenergia Boforsil ilmselt oluliselt suurem. Kuidas CV90/40 puhul moona etteandesüsteem täpselt lahendatud on, ei tea. Wiki kirjutab Bofors 40 L70 etteandesüsteemi kohta "Feed system 16 – 26 round hopper". Mida see peaks tähendama, ei viitsi uurida praegu.

Bushmasteri laskekiirus, tuletihedus ja koheselt kasutatav laskemoona tagavara 300 vs. 24 lasku annab tanki vastu minnes tuntava eelise ikkagi Bradleyle ja Bradley 25×137mm. tundub on täiesti piisav selleks, et T seeria tankide torn sihtimisseadmetest vabastada ja meeskond tankist minema peletada.

The M242 weapon system has both electrical and manual fire control and can be operated electrically or manually. The gunner can choose from three rates of fire:

Single Shot Semi-Automatic, in which the gunner can shoot as fast as the trigger can be operated, limited only by the electrical drive speed (it cannot exceed the "High rate" firing speed);
Low Rate Fully Automatic, in which the weapon fires 100 rounds a minute, ± 25 rounds; and
High Rate Fully Automatic, in which the weapon fires 200 rounds a minute, ± 25 rounds.

The Bradley carries 300 ready rounds in two ready boxes, one of 70 rounds – usually AP-type rounds, the other of 230 rounds – usually HE-type rounds, with another 600 rounds in storage.

In case of the CV90 the ammunition available at the gun varies:
The CV9040 has a total of 24 rounds available at the gun (three rows of eight rounds) with a further 24 rounds being located in a carousel magazine used as ready racks.
The CV9035 has a total of 70 rounds available at the gun, consisting of two belts a 35 rounds.
The CV9030 has a total of 160 rounds available at the Bushmaster II gun.
This clearly shows the benefit of utilizing smaller calibres in combat vehicles. While the CV9040 has only 24 rounds directly available at the gun, just by using the slightly less powerful 35 x 228 milimetres calibre the amount of rounds available at the gun is nearly tripled. The 30 x 173 mm calibre still more than doubles the ready ammunition compared to the 35 mm calibre! Given that the 40 mm Bofors gun currently does not offer more armor penetration possibilities, the Bofors compares unfavourably to the Bushmaster guns. While the actual armor penetration of the 40 mm Bofors with APFSDS ammunition is higher, the added armor penetration does not allow engaging heavier armored targets: all three claibres can defeat current generation IFVs frontally and MBTs from the side - the only advantage gained by the larger calibres is additional ranges, which only matters under limited circumstances.

Üldiselt nõus, aga siin unustatakse ära, et IFV pearelva ülesanne ei ole mitte ainult soomukitega võidelda, vaid ka ka killuneva moonaga jalaväge toetada. Selle koha pealt võib suurem kaliiber anda omad eelised.

Aga kuna jutt oli suudmeenergiast (muu hulgas), siis minu eelmise postituse point oli pigem see väide ümber lükata.
Lisaks, kui vaadata seda konkreetset kontakti, siis teoreetiliselt oleks pidanud ka 40mm Boforsi kaasas olevast moonast (24+24 lasku) jaguma.
