A German businessman is on trial for supplying spy technology to Russia. Prosecutors say sonar, antennas & other high-tech gear were funneled to a secret Russian naval spy program called “Garmonia” helping Moscow track submarines & undersea cables. The network ran for nearly a decade.

The man on trial is Alexander S., 55, from Nuremberg, with dual Russian-Kyrgyz citizenship. He ran two German companies accused of exporting dual-use tech civilian gear with military applications.

According to prosecutors, the tech included:

Underwater positioning systems from Norway

Satellite antennas from Sweden

A precision drill bit from Italy

And an attempted €43K sonar purchase from the UK

Some gear reached Russia’s military via Turkey.

The tech was allegedly used in Project “Garmonia” (Гармония) a secret Russian underwater surveillance network of sonars & microphones designed to:

Detect submarines

Map undersea cables

Monitor enemy naval activity

Investigators say the Russian buyers were front companies tied to the FSB (Russia’s domestic security service). Surveillance by German intel triggered the investigation.

Alexander S. claims he didn’t know the equipment was for the military. But emails & calls monitored by German authorities suggest otherwise.

He now faces nine criminal charges for violating the Foreign Trade Act.

UK Intelligence uncovers 18 Russian spies involved in covert operations against Britain:

The UK Foreign Office has announced sanctions against 18 officers of the Russian General Staff’s Main Directorate.

British intelligence services have identified these individuals as being involved in a series of Russian sabotage operations across the United Kingdom.

65-year-old Briton found guilty of attempting to spy for Russia

A UK court has found Howard Phillips guilty of attempting to pass sensitive information about the British Defence Minister to Russian intelligence.

Phillips believed he was in contact with Russian agents, but was actually dealing with undercover British counterintelligence officers.

In October 2023, he tried to get a job with the UK Border Force - prosecutors say he intended to gain access to information that might interest Russia.

In March 2024, he was contacted by individuals claiming to be Russian agents, "Sasha" and "Dima." They asked him to detail what he could offer and why, and to hide a USB stick with the information inside a bicycle left on a London street.

According to court testimony, the USB contained a document in which Phillips described himself as a "very valuable asset" and pledged "100% loyalty and commitment to the work."

Poland reveals it has detained 32 suspects accused of collaborating with Russian intelligence to carry out sabotage, arson, and assaults. PM Donald Tusk confirms the suspects include a Colombian, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and a Pole. One coordinator was brought to Poland. “The threat from Russia will remain regardless of how the war in Ukraine ends" PM Tusk warns.

Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) says Russian services used Telegram to recruit individuals mainly from Latin America with military backgrounds. Recruits were instructed to set fires at targeted locations, record the damage, and send footage back for propaganda.

"It’s time to issue a real alert to all services." He confirmed that Russian activity targets not just security infrastructure, but also border destabilization and infiltration of political circles warning of drastic sabotage like arson and physical attacks.

Tusk declared zero tolerance: "Anyone who destabilizes the Polish state or our borders is aiding Russian services directly or indirectly." He urged intensified efforts by all ministries to prevent and punish attacks backed by Russian money.

(This wasn’t overnight. It happened over a long period, but only now are the full numbers being revealed. As always, in the shadow of official wars, the hybrid war creeps quietly and often hits harder and deeper than open conflict.)

Shadow fleet tankers have been carrying military staff actively documenting critical infrastructure as they pass through Danish (and likely European) waters.

Danish pilots have seen several instances of the spy activities and have notified authorities.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Justice Department announced that the FBI had arrested Spc. Taylor Adam Lee, a 22-year-old tank crewman serving with the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas, on charges of “attempted transmission of national defense information to a foreign adversary” and “attempted export of controlled technical data without a license” for attempting to provide both operational and technical information about the M1A2 “Abrams” Main Battle Tank to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the FBI, Taylor Lee, an active-duty servicemember in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Bliss, who maintained a Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance, allegedly attempted to provide classified military information on vulnerabilities related to the M1A2 Abrams to a person he believed to be a Russian intelligence officer in exchange for citizenship in Russia. From approximately May 2025 through the present, Lee sought to establish his U.S. Army credentials and send U.S. defense information to Russia’s Ministry of Defense. In June 2025, Lee allegedly transmitted export-controlled technical information on the M1A2 Abrams online and offered assistance to the Russian Federation, stating, “the USA is not happy with me for trying to expose their weaknesses,” and added, “At this point I’d even volunteer to assist the Russian Federation when I’m there in any way.”

In July, at an in-person meeting between Lee and who he believed to be a representative of the Russian government, Lee allegedly passed an SD card to the individual. Lee proceeded to provide a detailed overview of the documents and information contained on the SD card, including documents and information on the M1A2 Abrams, another armored fighting vehicle used by the U.S. military, and combat operations. Several of these documents contained controlled technical data that Lee did not have the authorization to provide. Other documents on the SD card were marked as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and featured banner warnings and dissemination controls. Throughout the meeting, Lee stated that the information on the SD card was sensitive and likely classified.

During and after the July meeting, Lee discussed obtaining and providing to the Russian government a specific piece of hardware inside the M1A2 Abrams. On July 31, 2025, Lee delivered what appeared to be the hardware to a storage unit in El Paso, Texas. After doing so, Lee sent a message to the individual he believed to be a representative of the Russian government stating, “Mission Accomplished.”

The FBI Washington and El Paso Field Offices are investigating the case, with valuable assistance from the U.S. Army Counterintelligence Command.

According to a new BILD report, over 500 drone incidents occurred in Germany within three months, mainly targeting military bases and critical energy infrastructure. Many drones flew undetected by radar, suggesting use of advanced or homemade models. Despite 123 criminal probes, perpetrators remain mostly unidentified, raising serious security concerns.

The drones primarily surveilled military sites like the Ramstein US airbase and naval bases, as well as critical energy facilities including LNG terminals in Stade and Wilhelmshaven. Civilian airports, ports, train stations, defense companies, and government buildings were also targeted.
