PRAGUE, April 19 (Reuters) - Czech defence companies will repair Ukrainian tanks and other military vehicles that have been damaged in fighting or need servicing after long-term storage, the Czech Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.

The first contract will include repairs of an unspecified number of Soviet-era T-64 tanks, it said.

Ukraine will be allowed to "buy military equipment" from German and other Western defense companies, based on its own choice and preference, said German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
This can, for example, be heavy weapons that "can be used in an artillery battle."
Suomelta lisää puolustustarvikeapua Ukrainaan
Tasavallan presidentti on tänään 19.4. 2022 valtioneuvoston esityksestä päättänyt, että Suomi lähettää Ukrainalle lisää puolustustarvikeapua.
Avun perillemenon varmistamiseksi avun sisällöstä, toimitustavasta tai aikataulusta ei tälläkään kerralla tiedoteta tarkemmin.
Suomen lisäavussa on huomioitu sekä Ukrainan tarpeita että Puolustusvoimien resurssitilannetta.
Ukraina on Venäjän sotilaallisen hyökkäyksen jälkeen pyytänyt materiaaliapua sekä Euroopan unionin että Naton jäsenmailta.
Soome annab Ukrainale rohkem kaitsevarustuse abi
Vabariigi President on täna, 19. aprillil. Soome otsustas 2022. aastal valitsuse ettepanekul saata Ukrainale rohkem kaitsevarustuse abi.
Jällegi ei anta täiendavat teavet abi sisu, kättetoimetamise ega aja kohta.
Soome lisaabi on arvestanud nii Ukraina vajadusi kui ka kaitseväe ressursiolukorda.
Pärast Venemaa sõjalist pealetungi on Ukraina palunud materiaalset abi nii Euroopa Liidu kui ka NATO liikmetelt.

The United Kingdom and Canada have both announced today that they will soon provide the Ukrainian Military with Heavy Combat Equipment including Artillery Systems, the Systems that both Countries as well as the United States appear to be sending is the M777 155mm Howitzer.
U.S. President Joe Biden told reporters after a call with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and other Western leaders on April 19 that artillery would be among the next round of munitions that the United States would send.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who was also on the call with Biden and the other leaders, promised that Berlin will finance direct arms deliveries from German industry.
He said anti-tank weapons, air defense equipment, ammunition and equipment that can be used "in an artillery engagement" were among the weapons that could be supplied by Germany.

Esmalt soovitakse näha, kuidas süsteem end Ukrainas õigustab ja kuidas ukrainlased toime tulevad ja kui ukraina poolel huvi on siis hiljem saadetakse lisa. On kusagil mingit infot ka mis haubitsatest jutt käib?

The tube service length for the M198 is only 1750 rounds. They will literally burn out the barrels before they run out of munitions for the guns.
