Poola on valmis veel andma uuendatud lennukeid(20 Mig-29) UKR-le, kuid peab saama loa USA-lt, kuna seal on kasutatud nende tehnoloogiat ja vahendeid.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland, @Vasyl_Zvarych, says Poland could be about to decide to send another 20 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine
Polish President Duda has said it could be done but would need US approval as the planes have been upgraded with US tech.
Before sending the planes, Poland would also have to start receiving replacement planes on a large scale.
Poland has ordered both F-35s from the U.S. and FA-50s from South Korea.
Another option would be if some country sent replacement planes to Poland in the meanwhile.

SEPKA-USA võib anda järgmisena THAAD kaugmaa ÕT raketisüsteeme
There was news about the

USА considering the transfer of the «THAAD» system to

Ukraine. In this article, we will try to figure out what kind of system it is and how it will be useful for

Ukraine.

THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) is a mobile long-range anti-missile defense system for hyperatmospheric kinetic interception of targets.

The history of its creation begins during «Storm in Dessert», when «PATRIOT PAC-1» systems failed to show effective results against

Iraqi missiles El-Hussein (Scud P17), then the Pentagon thought about a new system that would become the basis of anti-missile defense of the

US and its allies. In the same year, the development of a new long-range missile defense system began. Between 1995-2008, production, research and the first rocket launches took place.
(It is interesting that the first launches were completely unsuccessful, and the missiles could not destroy the targets.)
Now about the system itself. Its composition is relatively banal: a control point, launchers and radar (AN/TPY-2), which we will talk about a little later. As mentioned above, the system works according to the principle of kinetic interception, that is, a direct hit on the target, but the peculiarity of this system is the so-called extra-atmospheric interception at altitudes of 150 km, which are the peak stages of the flight of many ballistic missiles, which makes it possible to destroy the object at the moment when it is not managed to reach maximum speed.
The damage range is up to 200 km.

RALS, "AN/TPY-2" deserves special attention. X-band active phased array radar with an effective target detection range of up to 1000 km, which is also a record among radars, but there is also a record price of $500 million per unit. The radar is capable of tracking targets (according to tests) at a speed of up to Mach 8 .
The price of the entire complex is called different, but according to approximate estimates, one battery of the complex costs $3 billion. The price of the missiles is also unknown, but for 22 missiles, the
USA paid more than 1 billion dollars.

Now projection to

Ukraine in case of transfer of this complex.
From a political point of view, this is a giant step that can be compared with the transfer of «ATACMS» or F-16. In total, there are two countries operating these complexes: the
USA, which has placed these systems near the borders with
China, and the battery which is located in
South Korea to protect against the threat of
North Korea. By transferring this system to us, the
US will provide NATO allies and
Ukraine with protection against a hypothetical
Russian nuclear attack
Now let's consider a pragmatic approach. The

US has a total of 6 «THAAD» batteries, and building the 7th would take too long. The second question is, is one «THAAD» battery or three «PATRIOT PAC-3» batteries better for us?
It seems that the latter will be able to cover a larger area and the effect will be much greater, but for now we are only waiting for the promised systems, and officials do not even mention this system, but of course the

USA is interested in testing the most powerful air defense system in the world in real combat, and for now the S-300 And Buk-M1 is guarding our sky
