Poola valitsusdelegatsioonile näidati neile hangitava raketilaskjast ballistilise raketi välja laskmist. Rakett sarnane ATACMS-iga.

Jätkates veidi OT-d, siis mulle tundub, et Ukraina sõja näitel on näha, et oleme HMMWVsid kõvasti alahinnanud. HMMWV-d oma hinna ja kaitstuse mõttes tunduvad täna väga hea hinna ja kvaliteedi suhtega. Ukrainas on nüüdseks juba palju näiteid, kus miinile pannud ja/või saanud otsetabamuse käsituli- või raskematest relvadest ja meeskonnaga on kõik suhteliselt hästi.
Kui täna võimalik, siis ma just neid masinaid meie KL üksustele üritaks sebida - lollikindel hea kaitstusega sõiduriist.

#Poland has made an official request for the deployment of #NATO nuclear weapons, Deputy National Defense Minister Pawel Zalewski said on Polish TV. He specified that it is an application for participation in the Nuclear sharing program.

Zalewski specified that the decision on the use of nuclear weapons, in case of their deployment in Poland, will be made by the Americans.

Four Barbara system aerostats would be deployed in eastern and northeastern Poland allowing the military to surveil the airspace and detect potential low-level threats. The aerostats will also be able to track naval targets as well. Systems as such can stay airborne 24 hours a day, contrary to aircraft-based AEW platforms, limited by flight endurance, and the crew’s mental and physical capacity. The Barbara aerostats would offer radar coverage at ranges beyond 300 kilometres.

Aerostat radar battalion with its command in Czerwony Bór would be formed to manage these assets, with two new support companies and four aerostat posts in Kurzyna Wielka (Subcarpathian Voivodeship), Biskupiec and Karbowskie (Warmia and Mazury region/Suwałki-Gap), Pobikry (municipality of Ciechanowiec, Podlachian Voivodeship).

Конкретный технический облик планируемых к поставке Польше аэростатных комплексов не раскрывается, но в уведомлении DSCA генеральными подрядчиками поставки были названы компании Raytheon Intelligence and Space, Elta North America (американское представительство израильской компании IAI Elta) и Avantus Federal (ныне QinetiQ US).

Бывшая компания Avantus Federal (ныне QinetiQ US) в последние годы является контрактным оператором аэростатных комплексов радиолокационного обнаружения Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Пограничной и таможенной службы США (СВР). Система TARS эксплуатируется СВР с 1980 года и построена на привязных аэростатах производства американских компаний TCOM и ILC Dover (при этом генеральным поставщиком по поставке и интеграции аэростатных комплексов выступала корпорация Lockheed Martin).

Стоит отметить, что Raytheon также ранее длительное время отрабатывала для министерства обороны США аэростатный комплекс обнаружения низколетящих крылатых ракет в рамках программы JLENS (Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System), закрытой в 2017 году после более чем 20 лет работ. В программе использовались 74-метровые аэростаты ТСОМ 74М компании ТСОМ.

Израильская IAI Elta, видимо, выступит поставщиком РЛС обнаружения EL/M-2083 с АФАР, специально разработанной для аэростатных комплексов на основе аэростатов ТСОМ, используемых в Израиле.

В свете всего этого можно предположить, что в проекте для Польши будут использоваться аэростаты ТСОМ (видимо, модификации 71М или 74М), оснащаемые РЛС IAI Elta EL/M-2083, при этом Raytheon Intelligence and Space будет выступать интегратором и генеральным порядчиком, а QinetiQ US - подрядчиком-оператором комплексов.

The Polish government is investigating a suspected link between Russia and the cyberattack on the country’s state news agency Polish Press Agency (PAP).

“The Polish Press Agency (PAP) has been hit by a cyberattack; all pertinent information regarding this critical incident is currently being provided to the relevant authorities,” PAP’s liquidator Marek Blonski and PAP’s editor-in-chief Wojciech Tumidalski wrote in a joint statement. “We are working to strengthen the security of all our systems and services,” Blonski and Tumidalski added.

The attack on the Polish Press Agency (PAP) occurred in May and aimed at spreading disinformation and destabilizing the country.

Authorities believe that a fake news report on Poland’s national news agency, claiming that Prime Minister Donald Tusk was mobilizing 200,000 men starting on July 1, was likely created by Russia-sponsored hackers. The attack appeared to be an attempt to interfere with the upcoming European Parliament election.

“Everything indicates that we are dealing with a cyberattack directed from the Russian side,” said Krzysztof Gawkowski, a deputy prime minister who also holds the digital affairs portfolio. “The goal is disinformation ahead of (European Parliament) elections and a paralysis of the society.”

Two fabricated reports about a partial mobilization in Poland starting on July 1, 2024, were released on the PAP service on a Friday afternoon. PAP clarified that they were not the source of these reports, and promptly annulled and withdrawn them.

Polish authorities suspect that Russia carried out the attack.

PAP CEO Marek Błoński condemned the attack.

“We are committed to clarifying the issue in collaboration with the appropriate state services”, Błoński said.

Polish media outlets, including Polskie Radio, have reported frequent targeting by Russian hackers, with Polish companies experiencing over 1,400 attacks weekly.

The Russian embassy in Warsaw told Reuters it had no knowledge of the incident and declined further comment.

In May, CERT Polska and CSIRT MON teams issued a warning about a large-scale malware campaign targeting Polish government institutions, allegedly orchestrated by the Russia-linked APT28 group.

The attribution of the attacks to the Russian APT is based on similarities with TTPs employed by APT28 in attacks against Ukrainian entities.
