https://x.com/HungaryBased/status/1832442452269265221Hungary begins to send Migrants on a "one-way" ticket from the Hungarian border to Brussels.
Sellele eelnes EL-i ähvardus suuremate trahvide osas, kui see peaks teoks saama.
https://x.com/HungaryBased/status/1832442664123543987The European Union has declared that Hungary will receive unprecedented penalties if it really transports the migrants besieging the Vojvodina border to Brussels.
The next day, the Hungarian Government presented the buses transporting migrants from Röszke to Brussels.
Trahviks on Ungari piiride parendamiseks mõeldud 20 miljardi eurose projekti peatamine 3-ks aastaks. 200 miljonit eurot määrati trahviks niigi, mida Ungari keeldub maksmast. See võetakse Ungarile määratud EL-i fondidest vähemaks. Lisaks on migrantide mittevõtmise eest 1 miljon eurot päevas trahvi.
The unprecedented penalty is that 20 bln euros have been withheld for 3 years for border protection. Now add to that the €200 million one-off and €1 million per day penalty Hungary has received for protecting the EU's borders.
https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2024 ... sed-by-ecjThe ECJ found Hungary had committed an "unprecedented and exceptionally serious breach of EU law" by limiting a refugee's right to seek asylum.
Hungary has missed the first deadline to pay the €200 million fine imposed by the European Court of Justice (ECJ).
It's prompted Brussels to send a second payment request and it's set the stage for an impending head-on clash if Hungary doesn't pay up by the final deadline on 17 September.
If that happens the European Commission, which is compelled to ensure member states abide by ECJ rulings, will launch the so-called "offsetting procedure." It will then deduct the €200 million from Hungary's allocated share of the EU budget, parts of which remain frozen over the country's decline in its observance of the rule-of-law.
