Overnight the vessel passenger vessel conscience was attacked by 2x OWA-UAV's 14 Nautical miles Northeast of Malta as part of a Freedom Flotilla to deliver supplies to Gaza from Tunisia. No injuries among passengers or crew. Fires were extinguished after 4 hours. Many online have been quick to blame this attack on Israel.

Israel does not possess any OWA-UAV's capable of reaching the ship from Israel.
Israel also does not have any UAVs capable of aerial refueling.
Israel also does not have any uavs capable of acting as a mothership to launch other drones.

With Israel physically lacking the capability to lob a drone 2000 km away. It is unlikely this drone attack was carried out by Israel.

The entities that could have conducted the attack are in Libya.

JERUSALEM – Newly revealed documents captured during the ongoing war expose Qatar as a major financial and strategic backer of Hamas, directly supporting the October 7 attack on Israel. Contrary to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claim that Qatari funds were minor and humanitarian, the documents show Qatar funneled millions to Hamas’s military wing, including $11 million in discreet cash transfers.

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, in a 2019 meeting with Qatar’s then-Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Thani, called Qatari grants the “main artery” of the group. In 2021, Haniyeh secured covert funding from Qatar’s Emir, dedicating Hamas’s “victory” in Operation Guardian of the Walls to him. Qatar also funded Hamas operations in Lebanon and a special military unit trained in Qatar and Turkey.

The documents reveal Hamas’s efforts to sideline Egypt in favor of Qatar, which it viewed as more loyal, notably during the 2020 incendiary balloon escalations. Qatar, aligned with Iran and Turkey, also worked with Hamas to thwart Trump’s “Deal of the Century” in 2019. Internal Hamas reports warn that losing Qatar’s support could “eliminate” the Palestinian national project.
Despite its role in funding Hamas, Qatar now mediates hostage release talks. The revelations highlight its complex position as both a key Hamas ally and a diplomatic intermediary.

The IDF and Shin Bet have confirmed that troops recovered the body of Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar from a tunnel beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.

The tunnel, used as a Hamas command center, was struck by Israel on May 13. Alongside Sinwar, the strike also killed Muhammad Shabana, commander of the Rafah Brigade, and Mahdi Quara, commander of the South Khan Younis Battalion.

Troops reached the area several days ago and extracted multiple bodies, including other Hamas operatives. Sinwar’s identity was confirmed after a forensic process. Items belonging to Sinwar and Shabana, including ID cards and weapons, were also found in the tunnel.

The remaining bodies are still being identified.
